Horse Riding
We have been doing horse treks through the native forests for over 15 years. Our horse treks are a minimum of 2 hours crossing rivers, riding through native and pine forests. There are horses for experienced and none experienced riders. We can also do camping trips on the horses with a minimum of two weeks notice.
Free Game Hunting (140lb Boar)
Hunting pigs and deer is our passion, we offer a real experience of hunting in New Zealand’s native forests, with our own trained pig dogs and plenty of game around it’s almost certain that you will get on to a big one.
Day Walks
There are plenty of day walks ranging from all day walks to just a couple of hours. These tracks are well looked after from DOC along the way you will see flowing rivers and hear native bird life. We can guide you on these walks, transport to these tracks can also be arranged.
Trout Fishing
The Whirinaki River is one of the largest tributaries of the Rangitaiki River and provides excellent fishing for a large population of both rainbow and brown trout in very clear water that flows over a rock and stone bed. The Whirinaki finds great favour amongst anglers because of the quality of the fishing and the beautiful scenic nature of the river and its surroundings.
